Wow, what a lot you've been writing while I've been wasting my time climbing hills and working. A very very enjoyable read, though I'm sad to read about Henry and Kevin. I need my furry friends to live for ever.

Interesting that you don't feel attached to your house. I feel attached to all the houses I've lived in. And while I'd quite like to move - in a way - I'm attached to our current house. Certainly the cats are!

Got to go. Having my colleagues for lunch tomorrow. Working tomorrow morning. No time for fun.

But I'm terribly attached to my house! And its immediate location - it's the city I have to leave, and go somewhere with a garden while I have enough years left to put some energy into it..... and I know I can make another home that I'll love, especially with the girls as companions and flycatchers.....

Lizzie, are you getting a bit obsessional? Shall I post some pictures of joists, or Victorian drains for you? I can, you know.

Rachel, I love following the adventures of Millie, but I fear for the colour of your hair; what a pickle!

Cats... gotta love 'em. They are endearing and entertaining all at once.

Hi just been reading bits and pieces on your blog. Cardamom is my very favourite spice and the loaf looks lovely. :-)

Good CAT! Entertaining and useful. My dogs are useless at flycatching.
My president, however, seems to be a whiz.
